Baptist Hospital

Barber McMurry designed the original Baptist Hospital campus on the south banks of the Tennessee River in the 1950s. The south Knoxville hospital met the healthcare needs of local residents for more than 60 years.

Barber McMurry designed numerous buildings for Baptist Healthcare up to its merger with St. Mary's in the early 2000s. Though portions of the former Baptist Hospital complex on this site still stand, the original building has been demolished.
