Muse - Jacob Building

The renovation of the Jacob Building will transform an underutilized facility in Chilhowee Park into a multi-generation center for hands-on STEAM learning.

The building footprint will remain unchanged, but the design will restore details of the original architecture, including the prominent glazing that looks out over the park. Inside, the Jacob Building will be transformed into extensive exhibit space and immersive learning areas. Exhibit zones will have themes related to East Tennessee: sky and space, innovation, energy, and waterways. The expanded Muse will house not only exhibits, but a planetarium, classrooms, and rentable event rooms. Exhibit design partner is Luci Creative.
