J. Allen Smith Residence
The J. Allen Smith residence was one of Barber McMurry's first projects, with design completed in early 1916. It was the first of the many residences the firm designed along Lyons View, establishing the Beaux Arts style that homes along Lyons View still exhibit to this day.
J. Allen Smith was the founder of White Lily Flour. The home was designed in the Italian Renaissance style with elaborate exterior and interior detailing, typical to Barber McMurry designs.
