Welcome Center & Parking Garage
At East Tennessee State University, a welcome center and parking garage is designed to serve as an architectural gateway to campus.
The material palette — including brick, glass and metal — is integrated with existing campus architecture while the design creates a pedestrian plaza that enhances existing student thoroughfares. In addition to 1,200 parking spaces, the structure holds public safety offices, a welcome center, and food service. First-time visitors or current students can stop by the welcome center, speak to campus security, or stop for a coffee.
