The Delaney

The Delaney is a mixed-use tower adjacent to Covenant Health Park in downtown Knoxville, with retail and restaurant spaces on the ground floor, second-level office space for Boyd Sports, and seven stories of residences. The building is named for Beauford Delaney, a Knoxville native whose abstract expressionist works gained worldwide acclaim. His childhood home, now demolished, once sat nearby. 

The Delaney extends retail and residential development down Jackson Avenue, past the James White Parkway overpass, toward East Knoxville — reconnecting neighborhoods that were demolished and separated from Downtown Knoxville during Urban Renewal.
